Textile sublimation
Sublimation is a stamping technique that transfers the ink from a special paper to the fabric through the application of heat.
This technique's main feature is that is mainly used on polyester. The garment must contain at least 60% polyester. The colour the transferred image best shows up on is white or light colours.
The result of printing on the fabric cannot be felt. The final image is impregnated in the textile. The stamp becomes part of the fabric.
The main advantage to using this technique is that small print series can be made from a digital file with no need to prepare a template, or a what we call in screen printing silicon film, or in embroidery we call cliché. It has another advantage, which is that it allows for printing on zones where screen printing or digital printing cannot.
It is the most recommended for stamping multi-colour images on polyester garments.
